This is wonderful, Victor! I'm working on a book of poems and comments about my year in Hawaii when my husband was stationed at Pearl and deployed to Vietnam, so can especially relate.
Thank you Pris. I know you will finish your book in due time. Us oldtimers remember this date that started WWII. I remember it pretty well as the Philippines was subsequently occupied by the Japanese forces. It lasted a few years and was later taken back by the Americans, the former colonizer of the Philippines. But that is another story...
